“Anfang,” the Beginning
And so it begins . . . January two, 2015. For years I have felt compelled to write down the borrow bits of wisdom that I've gathered from so many tremendous teachers. This is been a great blessing, I am grateful to the long list of people whom the Lord has brought in my life to teach me. My hope, my posture, is to pass these bits of wisdom on to others, and to suppress my need to lead and control.
In the Scriptures, we are urged to seek the Lord with all our heart, and that when we seek him, we will find him. I have not or seldom have I sought Him with all my heart. He comes into my life and speaks to me anyway. This is one of the great graces of my life. He speaks to me, and allows me to find Him, despite the fact and I am constantly distracted and rarely grant Him my attention.
So in this effort, I hope to forswear my need for attention, and leverage the infinite bits of wisdom that, for whatever reason, has been entrusted to me by the Creator of the universe through some of His most faithful servants.
A few years ago, we started the Revolworks website. Here’s a trade secret: notice if you spell Revol backwards you get lover. Thus, in an undercover way, we are trying to create “The Works of the Lover.”
The target audience: me, my wife and children, my family and dear friends, plus the multitude of interns, Sunday School friends and disciples the Lord has sent me over these 54 years.
While I realize that my qualifications fall short, I plan to pass along to you these many thoughts that have led me along the narrow way in life. I hope and pray that you enjoy them.
