The early followers of Jesus of Nazareth, as reported in Acts 2:42, “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” In every generation since, God has called out circles of people. These people have sought him and have attempted to emulate the example of the early followers.
Similarly, a growing circle of like-minded friends who attempt to re-enact the life of Jesus in our own times has come together. We strive to live out his teachings in daily life. We have participated in events and gatherings such as the National Prayer Breakfast, the National Student Leadership Forum on Faith and Values, local churches, para-church groups, local clubs, business, schools and other activities of engaging life with others.
Often, after gathering together and then returning home to their lives, people want more of what Jesus teaches but are confused about how to continue seeking him. We recognize that all of us need a parenting of the spirit and to receive from the experiences of others. This website hopes to provide some teaching to assist along this journey. It was launched on Thursday, September 14, 2006.
The teachings are based on thoughts from Jesus and his life. Our efforts at religion have become a distraction from the life and teachings of Jesus. This site is not intended to defy religion but to rethink prevailing thoughts and attitudes toward Jesus and faith. We hope you will find our work helpful.
